Njilan Senghore is the Managing Director of Trust Bank Limited, one of The Gambia’s leading financial institutions. With more than two decades of experience in auditing, finance, and banking, she has established herself as one of the country’s most respected financial leaders.
Senghore began her career in 1999 as an Auditor with Deloitte & Touche, where she rose rapidly from Audit Trainee to Senior Audit Manager. During her tenure, she gained extensive experience auditing organizations across diverse sectors in The Gambia and the wider West African region, including Mauritania, Ghana, and Mali. Her technical expertise and leadership earned her a place among Deloitte Africa’s regional training facilitators—the first Gambian to hold this distinction—through which she trained teams in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.
In 2007, Senghore joined Trust Bank Limited as General Manager for Finance, Administration, and Human Resources. Her leadership and operational insight led to her promotion in 2016 to Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director on the Board. In December 2021, she was appointed Managing Director, guiding the bank’s continued growth, innovation, and customer-focused transformation.
Beyond her executive role, Senghore serves on the boards of Royal Insurance Company Ltd, Bayba Financial Services Ltd, and Home Finance Company Ltd.
She is a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (FMAAT), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom.
