Dalia Khorshid is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Beltone Financial Holding (BTFH.CA), one of the MENA region’s leading full-service investment banks. With more than 25 years of global experience spanning both the private and public sectors, she has built a distinguished career at the forefront of banking, finance, and investment strategy—advising on landmark transactions across private placements, M&A, and corporate finance.
Before joining Beltone Financial, Khorshid founded and chaired MASAR Financial Advisory and Eagle Capital for Financial Investment, where she managed and advised on more than 50 strategic transactions valued at approximately USD 44 billion. Her expertise covers fundraising, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and investment management.
From 2016 to 2017, Khorshid served as Minister of Investment for the Government of Egypt, where she spearheaded major reforms to modernize Egypt’s investment climate, including the development of the country’s new investment law and the successful launch of a 3–5-year IPO program.
Prior to her ministerial tenure, she spent 11 years with Orascom Construction Limited and OCI NV, serving as Executive Vice President and Group Treasurer as well as Head of Investment Banking and Corporate Finance. During this period, she led the company’s multi-billion-dollar fundraising initiatives and expansion strategies. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Citibank, where she served as Vice President for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking for the MENA region, and at Commercial International Bank (CIB), where she began her professional journey.
Khorshid has also held numerous board appointments across both public and private institutions, including Chairwoman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Chairwoman of the Dispute Resolutions Committee, Chairwoman of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Committee, and Founder and Executive Head of the Supreme Investment Council. She has also served on the boards of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), New Cairo Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Agricultural Development Authority (ADA), and the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
In addition to her role at Beltone, Khorshid serves on the boards of Al Baraka Group and the Sixth of October Development and Investment Company (SODIC). She has also held numerous public-sector board appointments, including Chairwoman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Chairwoman of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Committee, and Founder and Executive Head of the Supreme Investment Council.
In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the region’s financial landscape, Forbes Magazine named Dalia Khorshid among the Most Powerful Arab Women in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
