Jocelyne Muhutu-Remy serves as Managing Director for Spotify Sub-Saharan Africa, a role she has held since November 2021.

With over two decades of experience in media, technology and entertainment, her career journey has spanned journalism (with Reuters Television), content distribution at The Walt Disney Company Africa and leadership of strategic media partnerships at Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook).

Born to a Rwandan mother and Burundian father and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, she brings a pan-African perspective and multicultural insight into her leadership.

At Spotify, Muhutu-Remy is deeply committed to amplifying African voices, driving digital music accessibility, and building platforms where African creators can reach global audiences.

Her leadership is recognised for merging commercial ambition with cultural authenticity and for positioning Africa’s creative industries at the heart of global streaming ecosystems.
